Learn To Build It

Welcome to Learn to build it!

Welcome to my site. My Name is Steve Kerscher. My hobby is playing around with electronics and other items. I have had to search for alot of things and had trouble finding information on doing what I wanted to build. I decided I would start recording what I build. I may not always do things the best way but in the end will make it happen.
The starting plan is to start with just sensors, screens and other items like that. Then I want to move on to more combinations of things. Larger amounts of code and fun. You can always leave a comment if you have something you are trying to build and I will see if I can build it also.
I will be doing projects with Arduino, Raspberry PI, Irobot create, and IOT with Azure

I have a 16x2 LCD display for the arduino.
16X2 refers to the fact that it has the capability to do 16 characters wide and 2 rows high. As you will see from the code they reference the rows 0 and 1.

I opened the 37 sensor kit from Robotlinking. I really like the way these kits are organized. They include a chart of the items in the kit. The items are in the correct slot of the container. The also include a cd that has sample code and sometimes Fritzing samples. Each time they have sent me a free gift with my kit. This kit incuded a free stand for a Arduino.

This video shows you the CD that comes in the Robotlinking kit. I am only making one of these videos because each kit gives the same CD that includes other kits. Mkae sure you dig around on the CD because if the item you find does not include a Fritzing document. they may have one under another kit. There is also a Raspberry PI folder with some examples.

Welcome to my site. I will be building as many projects as I can using Arduino, Raspberry PI, IRobot Create, and anything else I can get my hands on. I will be going deeper in depth as the adventure continues.
The starting plan is to start with just sensors, screens and other items like that. Then I want to move on to more combinations of things. Larger amounts of code and fun. You can always leave a comment if you have something you are trying to build and I will see if I can build it also.
