This is my first step toward building something with my Irobot Create2. I bought this to maybe build a virtual presence device. So for now I am just playing around. I took my Raspberry PI 2 and drove around the create with the wifi keyboard.

If you install Raspbian on your Raspberry PI you should already have Python and the Pyserial library installed.If not you will need to follow the link and install it.
You will then need to download this file from IRobot and run this like I show in the video. Code from IRobot
